“STACEY KNOWS STORY!”

I don’t usually refer to myself in the third person. But in a conversation with a friend about how excited I am to add Developmental Editing and Manuscript Assessment Editing to my services, I said, “I know story.” She agreed, “You know story.” Then I proclaimed, “STACEY KNOWS STORY!” Which is now a phrase I’m adding to my newsletter!

I love storytelling! I know and continue to study the storytelling elements: plot, pace, characters, dialogue, world-building, tension and suspense, POV, conflict, theme, and genre.

I’ve completed Poynter ACES Introductory Certificate in Editing, University of Michigan’s Good with Words courses, and Club Ed for Editors-Developmental Editing for Fiction Classes DE1-6. I’ve been having a blast!

Helping writers tell better, authentic, and respectful stories is my service to you. It takes vulnerability to put yourself on the page. And asking for help can be difficult. But when my goal is the same as your goal, imagine how much better your story will be.
